Lloyds Pharmacy Mengham Road to close 1st September

Lloyds pharmacy at 9-11 Mengham Road (Opposite Sainsburys  is closing on the 21st September.

The closure is the second branch  of LLoyds to close within 18 months. LLoyds is going through a restructure and the store may have been highlighted for closure due to its large size and change in shopping habits.

Staff at the branch face  being made redundant unless there are any other vacancies at local branches.

The two other branches in Hayling Islan,  next to the Health Centre and West town will remain open. 

 The closure comes at a time of increased demand for pharmacy services as the islands population continies to expand.

 We wish all the staff well and hope they find employment soon at this difficult time.
